Mojito get a little cleaning and I get a little sun. Not much effort expended by either of us. Joel stops by and thinks he may try a little caulk around the chine. Mojito has swelled a lot but still has one spot that has a little leak.
Mojito left the Chris Craft yard in March of 1948 and was delivered to Minnetonka Boat Works in Wayzata Minnesota. She has been a Minnesota freshwater boat all her life. To the best of my knowledge she has always been called Mojito and will remain so as long as I own her.
Mojito is a 33' Chris Craft Deluxe Enclosed Sedan Cruiser powered by a single Red Wing 115 hp engine. She is very original with hardly any modifications over the years. My thanks to the previous owners who kept Mojito that way.
Mojito is a small project in comparison to many other boats of this vintage. She has sat since about 2005 and is primarily in need of a strip, stain, varnish and paint.
My plan for 2009 is to focus on the hull, cabin sides, deck and top. The cockpit, cabin and most of the rest of the interior will wait until next year.Mojito's home port will be at the St. Paul Yacht Club on the Mississippi.
Mojito has been well maintained over her 60 plus years, and I hope to extend her life further. Like all of us, she just needs a little help from time to time.
